Dr. Gyl A. Kasewurm
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Kasewurm started Professional Hearing Services 23 years ago. A lifetime resident of southwestern Michigan, she started the business after obtaining a Masters Degree from Western Michigan University and went on to earn her Doctoral Degree from Central Michigan University.
Dr. Kasewurm is committed to providing the latest technology and the highest standard of care to her patients. She is a well-known lecturer and contributor to audiology publications and organizations. In her spare time, Dr. Kasewurm enjoys traveling with her husband, David, and running and riding bikes with her friends.
Dr. Terry McIlvaine
Audiologist
Dr. McIlvaine recently received her doctoral degree at Pennsylvania College of Optometry School of Audiology. She obtained her Masters Degree from Kent State University. Prior to coming to St. Joseph, Terry practiced in the Cleveland area for 8 years providing hearing healthcare to patients of all ages.
Married for over 25 years to Kevin, they have 3 beautiful daughters and 1 handsome son-in-law, all living in Columbus Ohio. In her spare time, Terry loves to read, watch movies, and spend time with her family, and cheer for The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Dr. Andrea Gerlach
Audiologist
Dr. Andrea Gerlach is our newest member of the audiology staff at Professional Hearing Services. Prior to joining PHS she was employed by the Maryland Hearing and Balance Center in Baltimore, Maryland where she worked closely with Ear Nose and Throat physicians to treat adult and pediatric hearing and vestibular disorders. Dr. Gerlach obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nebraska and went on to earn a Doctor of Audiology Degree from Central Michigan University. She is an active member of the American Academy of Audiology and the National Hearing Conservation Association where she was honored with a “Golden Lobe” award for her efforts towards decreasing the occurrence of noise-induced hearing loss. In her spare time, Dr. Gerlach enjoys watching college football, reading, and spending time at the beach.
David Kasewurm
Operations Manager
David is the behind the scenes guy who makes sure business is running smoothly. With a background in business, he originally joined PHS by operating the industrial mobile unit that travels to industries in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio providing hearing conservation services.
When David's not at work or spending time with his wonderful wife, Gyl, you can find him on the golf course or walking his dog, Reno.
Karin Duensing
Audiologist's Assistant
Karin has been with PHS since shortly after its beginning in 1983. She originally worked in the mobile unit before becoming an audiologist's assistant. Karin is an expert at hearing aid repair and adjustments.
She and her husband, Pat, have two daughters and two grandchildren. When she finishes her day at PHS, Karin enjoys shopping and reading.
Dee Dee Hayes
Audiologist's Assistant
Dee Dee is one of the very talented assistants at PHS who are available to help patients who walk-in for service. Dee Dee has worked at PHS for fifteen years and is an expert at modifying hearing aids.
She has two married sons and four grandchildren and enjoys golfing, gardening, and knitting.
Andrea Corteville
Accounts Specialist and Audiologist's Assistant
Andrea has worked for PHS for over ten years. She is responsible for accounts receivable and also serves as an audiologist's assistant where she conducts hearing screenings. She also helps patients learn how to insert and care for their hearing aids.
Andrea enjoys shopping and reading and she and her husband, Chris, are enjoying their new bouncing baby boy!
Judy Lord
Customer Services Specialist
Judy is one of the exceptional individuals who staff the front desk at PHS where she makes certain that the time you spend at PHS is pleasant and rewarding.
She has lived in Michigan her entire life and loves the four seasons and going to Lake Michigan.
Judy and her husband have two girls, ages 16 and 18. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family attending her girls' school events, and scrapbooking.
Tina Machacek
Customer Service Specialist
Tina is another one of the friendly faces that will greet you at PHS and make you feel right at home. Tina and her husband, Jim and have a 17 year old son, Andrew, a 14 year old daughter, Ashley and a 4 year old "Daisy" dog named Fluffy.
Tina enjoys being a spectator at her children's various activities including football, hockey, theatre, and cheerleading and relaxing by her pool and scrap-booking.
Erik Kasewurm
Customer Service Specialist
Erik joined PHS in 2007 and is more than willing to assist you when you visit our office. His outstanding personality will make you feel welcome the minute you meet him.
Erik is single and lives in Stevensville, He likes to travel and was once an awesome soccer player.
Kelsie Lord
Data Entry Specialist
Kelsie is working at PHS in her "spare time" while pursuing a nursing degree at Lake Michigan College.
